Amen! Higher Things Conference Recap
Our time at the Higher Things "Amen!" conferences in Pennsylvania, Missouri, and California was a huge success. We got to meet hundreds of young people who aren't afraid to be Lutheran, gave away a ton of information, and got to be part of a spiritually enriching time for the youth of the church.

We gave away three fifty dollar gift certificates to Amazon.com. Congratulations to:
 Rachel Franck of
Duluth, MN
Jessica Reitsma of Brooklyn Center, MN
Deanna Kincheloe of Albuquerque, NM

Everyone who registered at our booth was also entered to win a $100 gift certificate. And the winner is:

Sarah Hill from Hermann, Missouri.
Congratulations, Sarah!

We often have a giveaway when we attend conferences. Keep your eyes peeled for us, and be sure to drop by.

Everyone who attended the Higher Things conferences also received a Fort Wayne Seminary backpack. The sea of white and blue backpacks was something to behold!

Meet the new Dean of Students

Rev. Brian Mosemann has jumped in with both feet as the new Dean of Students. He was much beloved by his students as a professor at the Concordia Universities in Chicago and Austin and most recently served the students studying at Westfield House in Cambridge, England. His history of good reporie with his students will be a blessing as he works for the wellbeing of the seminary students, their families, and the overall climate of the student body here on campus.
When you visit campus (as everyone who is considering the seminary really should), we'll set up time for you to meet with Rev. Mosemann. His experience as a pre-seminary director will be a blessing to you as you contemplate you calling.

Formation: Essays for Future Pastors
Get your free copy: formation@ctsfw.edu

Teach a servant of the church, and he will be full of wonderful knowledge. Perhaps he will clean up on Jeopardy! someday.
Train a servant of the church and perhaps he could do a trick for you. Sit. Stand. Kneel.
Form a servant in Jesus Christ, and then you have a servant of the church who will teach the faithful, reach the lost, and care for all. This is why Concordia Theological Seminary exists.
Formation: Essays for Future Pastors is a free book for you that is filled with essays from pastors, professors, and laypeople from all parts of the church all about what it means to be formed as a servant in Jesus Christ.
Request your free copy today, and be inspired by the stories of those who are serving the church and who are being served. E-mail: formation@ctsfw.edu

Dr. Carl Fickenscher Leads of the New Era of Issues, Etc.

Talk radio for the thinking Christian is back on the radio and on the Web. Rev. Todd Wilken, Jeff Schwarz, and Craig Fichtinger have brought back their engaging talk radio program "Issues, Etc."
How has Concordia Theologial Seminary been involved? CTS faculty, staff, students, and graduates have long been regular guests on the program. Our very own Dr. Carl Fickenscher was the first guest of the new era of Issues, Etc. Drs. Peter Scaer, Cameron MacKenzie, Adam Francisco and Rev. Philip Zielinski have all been guests since June 30 when Issues, Etc. launched.
Listen in and get to know our faculty with whom you will be studying. Hear how our students and graduates have been formed as servants of Jesus Christ. This is another great way to be inspired and stay informed.
